Casa Martin

Spend a relaxing holiday in the mountains in Italy!

Casa Martin is located on a mountain in a peaceful countryside village called Bisenti, 35km from the coast and 300m above sea level. The Abruzzo region is located by the Adriatic Sea on the Eastern coast of Italy.

The quickest way to get to Casa Martin is by car from Rome, which will take about 3 hours. A rental car is a must to visit the villa.

The house is surrounded by 9 hectares of land rich with fruit and olive trees. There are walking paths around the villa to enjoy the stunning views of the Gran Sasso mountains and the valley below.

The house consists of 4 bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms and a kitchen, set over two floors. There is a patio for enjoying the sun, and a pizza oven in a separate outdoor building.

Nearby services

There is an Italian restaurant in the neighbourhood that serves meals traditional to the Abruzzo region. The host also owns a small winery nearby. The staff are usually available to help if you need something or get a craving for great Italian food or wine! Most people in the area only speak Italian, so it’s worth learning some basic Italian before arrival.

The village of Bisenti is a 10-minute drive away from the villa. In the village you can find everyday facilities such as a grocery store, restaurants, a postal office and a gas station.

The nearest bigger town is Teramo, with about 50,000 inhabitants and good services. Teramo is a 40-minute drive away from the villa. There is also a shopping centre called Grand Sasso near Teramo.

The nearest beach in Guillianova is about 50 minutes away. The Grand Sasso mountains with a natural park and a ski centre can be reached in about an hour.

Driving in the region

Roads in the Abruzzo region are often small mountain roads. The route to Casa Martin will take you through some mountains, although most of the journey from Teramo goes via a well-maintained motorway. The drive to Rome takes three hours and traffic is light until near the capital.

Pool is available in the summer.

There is a Finnish sauna in the courtyard building.
